TIMES project development and time line as of October 2025

By end August 2024 at Team of 30 Scientists form the Initial Working Group. Together with more than 100 Scientists organised in 12 Working Groups preparations have started for the first in-person meeting.

In preparation for the Kick-off Meeting three online half-day workshops with the Initial Working Group and the Working Groups have been completed by mid 2025. 

The Kick-off workshop took place 12-15 August 2025 at Carnegie (Washington DC, Host J. Kasbohm) to discuss and develop the TIMES science plan and structure.

Currently a PAGES special issue from TIMES with Best Practices contributions of the working groups is in preparation. A Perspective in Nature Communications is being planned for Summer 2026 about TIMES.

A final review meeting of the TIMES science plan, being developed during 2026, is targeted for early 2027. A proposal to hold a Royal Society Hooke Theo Meeting was submitted in late 2025.
